Importing settings through registry on uninstalled run

Postby dgbsn » Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:18 pm

Hello.

I'm writing a script to run CleanUp! silently on numerous systems en masse as described on the Can I run CleanUp! from a floppy disk? FAQ (http://www.stevengould.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=153&Itemid=233).

So first I copy the directory over, but then I also send a .reg file over to customize the settings to my preference and run the shell command 'reg import %ProgramFiles%\CleanUp!\cleanup.reg' to try to activate the settings.

But it never seems to work. Of course I want to select which files get purged, plus I want to tell the log where to go so I can retrieve it.... Is there a better way to change those settings?
