CleanUp! and Server 2003

Postby laughlin@charter.net » Mon Jul 18, 2005 1:48 pm

Hello,

Has anyone else used CleanUp on a 2003 Server, either Standard or Enterprise? After running it & rebooting it, I experienced an unbootable machine. I ended up reloading the OS. Another fellow here did that same thing on another 2003 server? What is it removing that Windows is looking for? I’m hoping that 4.5 will not have this issue. Thanks.

Brad,

I'm hoping that CleanUp! 4.5 will not have this issue either but with some details, I cannot be sure it won't. So, would you mind downloading and installing the latest CleanUp! 4.5 beta release and running it in demo mode with the option enabled to generate a log file of what gets deleted?

Then, look at the log - and/or post it here - and try to figure out the offending files. It's usually pretty obvious.

Thanks,

Steve
